I converted and upgraded Granola, an established open source WordPress theme starter kit made by Wholegrain Digital, into ReactSmith.

The project modernises the original setup by replacing the legacy build process with Vite, improving development speed, performance, and maintainability.

The goal was to preserve Granola’s solid foundations while adapting it to a more contemporary frontend workflow suited to modern WordPress theme development.
